FOB being ADORABLE in an ad for saving the planet or somesuch, but THE OUTTAKES AT THE END AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

This post has just severely put me off seeing the second Transformers film. It sounds horribly, horribly offensive.

When I saw the preview I thought the shot of... girl... on the motorbike was pretty freaking awful, but I figured it'd stay at the levels of stupid the first film had, where most of it was eclipsed by the awesome GIANT ROBOT FIGHTS. :\.

Also, WTF? Someone... ripped off Jepha's tattoo? Or Jepha has a duplicate, but given the wonk on that one, I'm going for the former. Um. Weird stuff I didn't think I would stumble across today! Found via random_lounge on my journalfen flist. Huh. And that is Jepha's tattoo, right? I'm not just having unicorn tattoo fail? I can't find a picture of his for some reason.

lol... that's actually kinda a hilarious review of Transformers... I don't know why, that person's EPIC disapproval just makes me laugh =P. They probably make a pretty good point though. Hmm... or they could just be slightly too sensitive? I don't know... how offensive could a mainstream cinema movie be?

Ha ha oh man, that's a TERRIBLE rip off tattoo... seriously, if you're gonna rip off a tat... at LEAST get it right ^_^;... it's gonna be there for ever after all... god, that's epic style lame =P.

But wow... some of those unicorn tattoos... O.o... TERRIBLE!!! lol... like... seriously... I guess you could do worse than ripping off Jepha's =P.

Okay, that right there? Is pretty much the same thing every white person has ever said to belittle non-white people. And the same thing every dude has ever said to belittle women. And the same thing every straight person has ever said to belittle lgbt people. It's so ignorant and just plain stupid I had to delete the reply I originally wrote.

When someone says something is so wrong with sex and gender, race, or sexual orientation in a movie that they have to leave, it is wrong, and it isn't your place to say they're "too sensitive".

OK, firstly I'd like to point out that I in no way consider myself to be racist, sexist or discriminatory toward gay people. In fact quite the contrary, I think before you jump to conclusions and judge a person you should probably understand where they're coming from to begin with. What would make you think that I don't slot into one of those "belittled" groups of which you speak?

Just because I believe that the writer on that entry may be overly sensitive to these issues does not mean that I'm some kind of hateful stereotype. I've not even seen the movie, but as I stated previously I have trouble believing that a mainstream movie can be that bad and I feel that I'm well within my rights to say so. My opinion is my own.

Also, your generalization of "every" straight person, male and non-white person could be construed as offensive to the people who fit into those categories and yet don't participate in the offensive acts that you accuse them of.

It's as much my place to call somebody sensitive as it is for you to accuse me of all these things, or even for the original author of that entry to accuse the movie of all of the things that they did.

It's a clichéd phrase but "we live in a free world" so how about you build a bridge and get over it?

P.S. This is my first run in with any variety of "hate mail" thanks for the interesting experience =D.

Okay, how about not attacking my friends on my journal and making assumptions when you know nothing about them?

And frankly, it IS his place to have that opinion and he actually wasn't being offensive, given that I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen the film, what is wrong with questioning a review written by a complete stranger?

Hey, some pretty offensive stuff can happen in mainstream cinema, come on. I mean, they allow things like Twilight to be made, heh. Anyway, I've been pissed off by a lot of films from a feminist POV at least. I'm actually still going to go see TF, I think, and I guess I'll find out if that review was accurate or not or if it'll tick me off as badly as it did her.

That is a baaaad rip off of a weeelll done tattoo (but the original is stilll HILARIOUSLY bad in the sense that is a severed unicorn's head bleeding a rainbow with a gold tooth, heh. But that's how Jepha rolls, WEIRD WEIRD tattoos, which I totally love about him).

Half of those unicorn tattoos are so bad they're AWESOOOME, ahahahahahaha!

Hmmm, yeah I suppose so, but I can't really think of anything that would make me walk out of a cinema or anything... I'm not the walk-out-of-cinema type =P. Though... I don't really get offended by much either ha ha ha.

I'm still curious about the movie, I've yet to see it, but I don't think I'd avoid it... though it's not really first on my list either.

Ha ha ha, oh man, that's SO true lol. I actually kinda like the original. I suppose it IS bad in that way lol, but it's interesting and original. I watched the video, it looked fun XD.
